Got notification of "Launch failure might be caused by system DLLs missing, try to repair it automatically?" or stop loading at 0%

There can be several different reasons for errors related to DLL files. For example, malware corruption on the computer, damaged Windows registry, d3d12.dll file being deleted or misplaced, application errors, etc. Generally, you can try the following methods to resolve the issue:

  1. Type “cmd” in the Windows search bar, right-click, and select “Run as administrator” to open the Command Prompt window.
  2. Type the following command and press Enter (this operation may take a few minutes to complete):
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  3. Type the following command and press Enter:
    sfc /scannow
    Note: Do not close this Command Prompt window until the verification is 100% complete.
  4. Once the sfc /scannow process is complete, the scan results will be displayed.

Solution 2:

  1. Update BIOS
    It is recommended to download the latest BIOS file for your motherboard model from the official website of the motherboard manufacturer and perform the BIOS update.
    Note: You will need a USB flash drive with a capacity of 1GB or more, and save all the downloaded BIOS files from the motherboard manufacturer’s website to this drive.

  2. Reinstall the graphics card driver and choose a clean installation during the installation process.
    Visit the website of the driver manufacturer, and download and install the latest driver.

Tried DXR repairment tool, but does not seem to work. Still can’t launch the program. The screen stops at 0%.

The problem happened to a specific file or all files? Please send us the two logs, for better narrowing down the issue cause.
• C:\users\username\AppData\Local\d5_immerse\Saved\Logs
• Installation Directory of D5 Render: “D5 Render\logs”

Besides, please tell me your Windows system version, video driver version, and D5 version. Before this issue occurred, did you update the system or update D5? and have you launched the program successfully before?

I am sorry we need more details to help you solve the problem. What’s more, if you meet this error message: ‘The program cannot be launched because of DLL errors in the system’, please check the link I sent to you in a private message.


Recently, we found that some antivirus software may delete/block some .dll files in D5 Render installation directory for no reason, we are contacting them to solve this problem.

As a workaround, if the above repairment tool does not work, please stop your antivirus software first, then install a new D5 in another folder and copy those .dll files to the original D5 installation folder, or reinstall D5 to cover the old one.
