[Hot Issue] After updating to the AMD driver (25.10.1), D5 crashes or becomes unusable

Phenomenon:

Certain AMD GPUs, such as the AMD 7700XT, 7800XT and 7900XT, experience crashes with any scene file, including empty scenes, following the update to AMD driver version 25.10.1.

Workaround:

  1. Turn off D5 Render, then remove the files from the two directories below. You can click to skip the ones that can’t be deleted.
    \AppData\Local\AMD\DxcCache
    \AppData\Local\AMD\DxCache

  2. Roll back the driver version

Note:
Please ensure “AMD Driver Automatic Update” remains disabled.
