File Performance & AI Feature Glitch

Hi D5 Support / Community,

I recently upgraded D5 Render to version 3.1.0, and I am encountering a lot of glitches.

  • File Performance: My project files have become significantly heavier and slower to respond.
  • AI Feature Glitch: Using the AI rendering features has become incredibly frustrating. When I click the AI button, the menu appears, but as soon as I move my mouse toward it, the interface disappears. It takes a long time and multiple attempts just to successfully hover over and click it.

Honestly, the performance feels much worse after upgrading to 3.1.0. I am currently working on an urgent office project with a tight deadline, so I would appreciate any immediate help or workaround you can provide.

Hi @hadini

We’ve received similar issues regarding the File Performance and AI Glitch. Just to clarify,

It would be best to revert back to 3.0.1 for now if it’s majorly affecting your workflow. Download Historical Versions of D5 Render - Get Help - D5 RENDER FORUM

I already upgraded D5 from the old version to the newest version — that was right when D5 3.0.1 had just launched on 10/7/2026 — and after I updated it, there were a lot of problems like severe glitching, especially when doing AI post-production. There was an issue where I couldn’t click generate because the button would disappear whenever I moved the mouse toward the ‘Generate’ button. So on 14/7/2026 I downgraded back to version 2.9 and everything went back to normal. Now I see D5 has properly launched the new 3.1 — is it actually okay and safe for me to upgrade now, or is there still a problem when upgrading to 3.1? Because I don’t want a situation where, after I upgrade and save my scene in the new version, I can’t downgrade back anymore since the old version 2.9 doesn’t support it

Hi @hadini

Just to clarify, 3.0.1 was launched between January and February 2026, and we recently launched 3.1 in the first week of July 2026. Most likely, the version you have installed that caused the UI to glitch was 3.1.

  • I will be sending you a new build of 3.1, which fixes the UI Glitch issue; you can test it to check if the issue persists.
