Our office have encountered the problem after 2.9 such as GPU usage spike to 90-94% after updated to 2.9. When we were using D5 Render 2.8 the GPU won’t reach 80% or 90% on most projects as well as FPS that won’t drop below 50-60 and no stuttering and lagging as well.
This all happens after 2.9 and after this morning, we thought it’s related to GPU & Window drivers might not be up to date so we did update and now we can’t open D5 projects at all.
Try checking the support tool and it’s saying driver’s not compatible however it seems it’s not possible to roll back the GPU driver either.
And help or suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Hi there. I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. I may need to confirm a few things, such as:
- Does this issue also persist in other files? or is it specific to a certain file?
- Please show the full screen window of the VRAM and Memory Speed
Also it is important to take note that Devices with Intel Core i9-13900K/KF/KS and i9-14900K/KF/KS processors running D5 and other DX12 software may experience flashbacks, crashes, 99% loading freeze, and pop-up messages indicating “Some DLL files in the system are missing” or “Program startup failed”.
And as of September 2024, Intel has released a new microcode patches**(0x129)** to its OEM/ODM partners. Users can go to the motherboard’s official website to update the BIOS version.

Thank you.
hi, generally, whether this kind of test is a D5 version affects the rendering/running speed, and will try to use the same scene on the same device to test.
- If it’s convenient for you, you can test it out.
(the previous version is provided here, and it can be used normally if installed in a different path.)
Download Historical Versions of D5 Render - Get Help - D5 RENDER FORUM
- Or you can send the scene that you find unusual to the official staff, and they will compare different versions and send you the test results.
