1º The program did not warn me that saving in the new version could cause problems in the previous one. It did not even tell me to make a backup just in case.
2º The program closes randomly.
3º Some objects that it asks to download again, it says that it downloads them, but then they do not appear and it asks for them again and again.
4º The files after being saved, in most cases, when trying to open them later they close without opening the program.
5º The same problems that I had with version 2.8 persist in version 2.9 and having an AMD card, well… It seems that those of us who have AMD cards are in trouble.
6º If a file is saved, modifying parameters such as, not animating objects or the lowest visual mode. When I open the file again, if I manage the miracle of it opening, everything goes back. Losing the configuration in which I saved the file.
I went back to version 2.8…
Luckily it opened the files although a huge warning message appears.
The object files that were loaded incorrectly in version 2.9, now continue to load incorrectly in version 2.8…
Joel Cart 08… is one of the objects that cannot be loaded
All the new features are great, if I could really use them, they would be even cooler.
Forgive the irony, but I was hoping for improvements in the program’s performance, rather than new functions.
Especially in the stability of the program and its compatibility with AMD video cards.
I went back to version 2.8 and to the AMD drivers, which work well.
Never give up, but going back, in this case seems inevitable
Hi there, I’m so sorry for the incovenience this issue has caused. And also, I am very much thankful that you have provided a detailed description of the issue that you have experienced. May I just know if you have updated your graphic card drivers to the latest version? Nevertheless, I will be reporting these issue to my team.
On the other hand, can you please send your log files to support@d5techs.com and briefly describe the issue, then have it titled ‘2.9 Clov-Forum’. Please refer to this link for further instructions regarding the log files How to use Support Tool? | User Manual
Thank you~
Hello, I am sending you the compressed files generated by the AMD error detector and the data collection files generated by D5.
They were all created after the error occurred and the program closed.
I tried both versions of D5 with drivers later than version 24.5.1.
With these drivers, both versions 2.8 and 2.9 stop working when trying to render.
Version 2.9 of D5 also stops working even with the 24.5.1 drivers without being able to enter the program. It closes before trying to render.
Version 2.8 of D5 works fine with the 24.5.1 drivers.
I hope you as a company can be heard better by the people at AMD who seem to be only concerned with making improvements for games and not for professional programs.
Greetings

Thank you so much for the files you sent. I will be updating you regarding this issue as soon as possible~
Hi there, may I just confirm the following:
- If the file that you have opened which resulted to a crash is an empty scene?
- Is this the same scene file that you have opened in 2.8 which is working normally and 2.9 which resulted to a crash?
Looking forward to your reply, this could greatly help us in assessing this issue further. Thank you so much.
Hello clovisbolasco14.
To test the different versions of D5 I always use the same files. There are three files that I am working on and that I can use to see how the program works. I have already finished a stage of this work so I can see the differences between versions.
Version 2.8 closes by itself when I ask it to make an image or a video and the memory is at its limit. And it only does that with AMD drivers after version 24.5.1.
With version 24.5.1 it works fine and makes the images and videos. It doesn’t matter how much memory I use.
With version 2.9 of D5, the program closes when trying to make images or videos, while I am using it or it doesn’t even open the files and closes at the end of the loading process.
Version 2.9 of D5 works badly with all AMD drivers, even with 24.5.1 to 24.10.1
Greetings, I hope the information is useful to you.
Hi, Thank you so much. One last thing to confirm: Are you able to open empty scene files, or does this also result in D5 Render crashing?
Hi, in version 2.8 I can open empty files. That is, only the one that shows the sky. I didn’t test this in version 2.9. I was only trying to open the files that I already had in use.
Hi there, would it be possible to try to open an empty file in 2.9 Version so we may be able to confirm it? We may need this so we can provide a detailed description of the issue that you have experienced. Thank you~
Hello, clovisbolasco14.
I tried the version 2.9 as they ask me again.
The program opens a new file. And you can add some other objects without it closing.
Then I tried to work with my files and as I mentioned before the program either closes or just stops.
If for example I try to make a panoramic image it stops at 30 percent and forces me to close it with the task manager.
It also closes randomly while I work.
I am going to continue using version 2.8 with AMD drivers 24.5.1
The truth is that it is a problem, not being able to update the drivers and the program. Unfortunately it forces me to think about keeping my pro version and even having to look for another alternative.
For the moment the program meets my needs in this way and version 2.9 is not incorporating any new features that I really need. But the fact that I can’t improve the video drivers and tomorrow I won’t be able to take advantage of some other improvement, leaves me in a pretty bad situation.
I see that they are not giving the same support for users who have AMD video cards. I say this because I have read that a user in a similar situation and the user having said that he had an AMD card. They gave him the option to remove Nvidia DLSS. That is not paying attention to the user. Who said he had an AMD video card.
I will try to help as much as I can, without interrupting my work. But I feel that they are not able to give a solution.
Greetings
