Transparency for a printed curtain

Hello. I need to put 8 printed curtains in sequence. The problem is that if i put the same opacity to all the curtains i can see only the first one. You can see the second one only because i increased the opacity. Another thing: the black in the image let see through but it is not intended. Any suggestions?

Hello zifester90,
I would incorporate the woman as a separate texture.
For the transparency, try the Thickness command.

Bye
Andreas

Thanks for the help. I tried but i had no luck. No matter the type of material. If transparency/opacity is the same they don’t work. Maybe i do not understand it correctly or the software can’t do it right now. I will use photoshop to fix it. Thanks for the time you dedicated to me

Hi @ziofester90

May I know which specific material template was used for the curtain? As for the woman’s silhouette, was it placed as an opacity map?

I would like to test this issue on my end. If you can separate this specific model from a different D5 File and send it to us, that would also be great. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. If you want to try I uploaded here 2 pictures. One with transparent background, one with white background. I tried cloth material, transparent material and custom material. Mesh on or off with or without thickness. I do not remember if i tried to swap the normal map for the opacity one. I think was a white blank picture when i tried to set one for opacity. When i separated the woman from the picture i got the same issue but for the shape only. I solved with photoshop, so for now it is not a problem anymore. If you have time and want to try let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Hi @ziofester90

Thanks for the update and for sharing the whole process/files.

Hello,

is that going in the right direction?

Looks cool! Yes, i was looking to something like that. I found a reference photo to let you see the final idea. For now the glass template looks the more accurate but still not perfect. You had to change the opacity/trasnparency of the different ones? Or you can use the same level/percentage for every figure?

Hello, The fabric and the woman are on different surfaces. Surfaces with fabric are transparent. Surfaces with the woman are alpha channels. This separation gives me more control over the fabric and the woman. The results might be better if the woman were also made of transparent material. Give it a try! bye, Andreas

Thanks for all the dedication <3 When i work back on it i let you know
