D5 Render Version: 2.9.1.0509
Graphics Card: NVDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
Driver Version: 32.0.15.6636
Issue Description: I try to run a project asset which i gets from d5 render community with around 5gb zip file size. It getting crash always.
Screenshots/Videos Description:

Hi there,

I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. This issue is usually evident when you have used a lot of assets in your D5 Render file without proper asset management.

  • Solution: If the file fails to open, please delete the ‘f2’ folder under your WorkSpace path and then reopen the archive. Once it’s open, refrain from updating the assets until you have lightened your scene file by deleting some assets, including procedurally generated vines. This will help prevent it from crashing again due to excessive video memory usage.

CURRENT ISSUE

We are currently monitoring an issue where some old archives opened in version 2.9 experience excessive resource consumption. We are working on fixing this in subsequent releases. In the meantime, please check your scene files for the following:

  • Are there a lot of ‘procedurally-generated vine assets’?
  • Is the drop feature for vegetation paths used?

If so, please optimize your archive accordingly.

Now the application automatically getting close. The size of the zip file is 4.9gb

when i looked up in recommended settings and collect log files, It shown in one internal and another in external graphics card.

Hi there,

There are no “Out of memory” error prompts after you have deleted your f2 folder?

  • Once it’s open, refrain from updating the assets until you have lightened your scene file by deleting some assets, including procedurally generated vines. This will help prevent it from crashing again due to excessive video memory usage.
  • You can also organize these assets in layers and make them show in scenes where they are evident, inorder for them not to consume unnecessary GPU load.

Dont mind the Info regarding the Graphic Card in Support Tool, it’s a bug and I’ve already reported it. It is the same on my end. If you try to open your Task Manager while opening your D5 File, the load or fluctuations should be at the RTX Video Card.
