Hello, a lot of my older projects are opening up a lot darker after updating to the latest D5 Render. I haven’t adjusted any of my lighting to cause this issue and I was wondering if anyone had a solution or was dealing with the same problem. As you can see in my screen shot on the left, my old scenes are all properly lit. Thank you for any advice/help (:
Hi @anarukami, 2.10 adjusted the sensitivity of auto exposure to accommodate the new night sky effect (to prevent overexposure), which resulted in scenes with auto exposure in the original 2.9 version becoming darker in 2.10.
Solutions:
1. Continue to use 2.10:
- Turn off Auto Exposure
- Enable Aoto Exposure again OR manually adjust exposure parameters
- Update all scenes, videos and render queues.
if there is need to fully maintain the original effect: Please consider rolling back to 2.9 version to finish the project
