Even if I open D5 and open a new work, it freezes as soon as it opens, but there is also a freeze in the file I threw in the collect log. While I did not have such a problem until 2 months ago, my freezing problem has increased significantly recently, even I have to restart my computer completely. After restarting several times, my freezing problem disappears and I can continue working.
I’m having the same problem right now, there’s a delay when I open it, it happened after the new update, I didn’t experience anything like this in the previous version.
I just want to confirm if it is a momentary freeze or does it last too long to the point where you need to force close D5 Render or even restart your device?
I just also want to clarify whether this problem is evident in empty files or light files? If the file is quite heavy, then it might be expected considering the 4GB Dedicated GPU Memory that you currently have.
Based on your description, this issue was not evident 2 months ago. Can you tell us if there are any recent updates that you have done with your device? Maybe a Windows or Driver Update? If so, it might be best to revert to its previous version.
D5 causes serious freezes that I have to force the render to close.I also have a serious freeze in heavy files that I have to restart the computer when D5 first opens and says new project.Even when I open a new project, the program does not seem to freeze, but when I click anywhere, the program freezes.2 months ago I switched from nvidia gaming version to studio version, now I uninstalled the video card driver with DDU and returned to the current game driver, but I did not make any other changes.
I have now switched to the old version 2.9 and my problem seems to be fixed, either there is an optimization problem with version 2.10 or my system can no longer keep up with the technology.
Thanks for providing some info. The recent 2.10 update introduced path-tracing, so if you have enabled it, it will surely increase the file’s load on your device compared to 2.9.
If you have time, you can try returning to 2.10, then check if Path-Tracing is enabled.
Although it’s just a guess, perhaps your device is utilizing your iGPU instead of your dedicated GPU? (only for devices who has both integrated and dedicated GPUs)
I opened path racing, but when I closed it, the same problem continued. I tried again today, and my freezing problem continues in version 2.9, I will do maintenance on my computer this week and format it.
My computer came from maintenance, when I open a new project in d5 2.10 version, after a few minutes the program crashes, it uses 1.8GB as vram, but I saw that my video card uses 100%, I don’t know how it happens, I can’t close the program and I have to shut down the computer, which damages my computer.
Just to clarify, after your computer was sent to maintenance it perform worse compared to before?
Considering that it is crashing despite opening a small file which is consuming 1.8gb of your VRAM then we might need to investigate this issue further.
