Video Render Freezes Whole Computer When Exporting

D5 Render Version: 2.5.2.0332
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU
Driver Version: NVIDIA Studio Driver Version 537.42
Issue Description:

Twice now my whole computer has frozen when trying to export a 23 second clip at 1080p from my file (I will send the file to the email posted). One time it froze 46% of the way through the render and one time at 1%. I have had to restart the whole computer and received no output. Not sure why my specs can’t seem to run it. I have 32 GB RAM and also increased my virtual memory to 150 GB.

Previously I had exported shorter clips (around 7 seconds) at 480p and even though the render said it finished, the video it outputted would only run for about 1 second and then stop. This and the freezing issue may be two separate problems.

Hello, you can check the number of dedicated video memory in the task manager while rendering, if it exceeds 80%, it may cause D5 to blink or get stuck. If it’s above 80%, you can optimize it by doing the following: How to optimize the problem of taking up too much video memory when the scene is opened? : D5 Render

Hello, is your scene model very large? Is the proportion of graphics card and memory resources high during rendering? You can check the Windows built-in resource manager to view these two data items, but I recommend using GPU-Z software to detect your device.

By the way, what is your version of Windows? I suggest upgrading it to 22H2, so that the newer version of the NVIDIA graphics card driver can work well on your device.
