UV: stretch vs rotation

obviously rotating a texture kills its aspect ratio

doesn’t occur n previous versions

Just throwing out an idea here - did you try checking the box that says ‘Keep Texture Shape’ that is just under the Rotate entry box, prior to the 90 degree rotation?

i tried. but same result as seen above

Sorry for the inconvenience. I tried replicating the issue on my end using the same texture, but I wasn’t able to reproduce it.


Can you confirm whether any other adjustments or scaling are applied before rotating the texture? Thank you in advance.

it’s an old file. i updated D5 and opened the file in 3.0 and applied this texture to the floor and probably changed scaling before rotating.

i tested it in a new file and there it worked, like you shown in your test. but that doesn’t help in my actual project-file.

because i don’t need an angle of 0° or 90° but 335° . and in this case the texture is distorted and i cant fix it with a scaling workaround
