D5 Render Version: 2.7 Graphics Card: RTX 3090 Driver Version: Nvidia Studio 552.22 Issue Description: The file appears to be corrupt.
I try to open the file, when I get to 99% the D5 screen crashes
I tried opening backup files automatically generated by the program.
I renamed the .bak file to .drs file
One of the 3 backup files I have opens, but it doesn’t let me save the project or change/modify the materials.
The backup project is virtually unusable.
Can someone help me?
It’s an important project that I have to turn in tomorrow Screenshots/Videos Description:
Hello! Sorry for your problem. Is it convenient for you to send your scene file to us? We will try to fix it. You can share a link here or send it to our email. (support@d5techs.com, please describe the problem and attach the link of this post to your mail)
Corrupt files means that you have copied a DRS file and placed them outside the original folder… so what happened was u took a file or backup renamed it, then relocated it to somewhere in your drive or differenet directory folder…outside of its original location, what happens now when u try to open this file this message appears… REASON i know is i made same mistake too… few days ago…
BTW; what ever you do u wont be able to save this file…
Solution: go to your backup folder and rename the back-up file to -----> DRS extension name. then open it… (dont relocate this file) after opening you can save a new filename to whatever location u desire.
We don’t recommend that process to access your backups since this will cause a lot of issues. If possible, please revert it to its original state, including the .drs file.
If you wish to access your file’s history, you may go through the Recent Tabs > Right Click the project > View Version History
