Uploading spatial tours

**Issue Description:**Hi, I’m having a lot of trouble getting my panoramas to upload to your cloud server. Last time I tried it was fine; now they take forever, and it seems like something is wrong. Many don’t finish uploading at all.

At first I thought it had something to do with complex geometry, but since my machine is rendering the panoramas, the files shouldn’t be any larger than models with simple geometry.

Any idea what’s wrong here?

Hi @titanium.rainbow

I apologize for the inconvenience. When it comes to uploading Spatial Tours to your D5 Showreel, internet connection stability plays a role.

  • Have you tried connecting to another ISP or perhaps using your mobile data to see if there are any differences in the upload speed/results?
  • Are you using a VPN? Try to disable it.

Let me know if the issue persists.

Hi Clov, I just did a speed test [I’m on vacation] and realized that my upload speed is around 5Mbps; I guess that might be the problem!

Hi @titanium.rainbow

Try to connect to another ISP or perhaps your mobile data once you get back then see if there are any differences.

If I can’t improve my connection, is it still possible to upload panoramas, or will the server timeout at low speeds?

Hi @titanium.rainbow

Does connecting to another network or using your mobile data still not solve the issue?

  • We generally recommend a good connection when uploading, since Spatial Tour files are relatively large and loading speed depends on network conditions.

  • We’re working to optimize this issue and will soon support a new file format that’s smaller in size, resulting in smoother loading performance.

I have an appointment to get my connection checked tomorrow…

Alright, let us know the results.

Also, just to be sure, can you send us a video-recording of the process on your end, which shows the issue or error prompt when uploading. Thank you.

Yes, after my appointment. There is no error message currently, so I don’t know if the D5 server thinks the connection failed. It just takes a very long time, and often stops during the process and does not continue. Hopefully that’s the only problem; it used to work before I went on vacation.
