Hi mate, the current version has not supported Blender 3.4 yet.
Here is a beta version, and if you want to try it with Blender 3.4. please download from this link:

Is this still the case? I’m new to D5 and just dowloaded the addon for Blender (3.4.1) and when I hit the Sync button I get the following error messgae:

RuntimeError: Error: Error while converting to D5.
Is D5 Render installed?

I’m downloading the link that you posted. TIA!

Hi mate, to let it work, you need to download and install both D5 Render and the D5 Converter, did you install D5 Render as well?

If the problem persists, please let me know.

Thanks. I did finally figure out that the addon wasn’t the entire package. I did install the main D5 render package and was able to sync the Blender scene to D5, though none of the blender textures came through with the sync.

The D5 view reminded me of Unreal. I suppose that I’m unclear of what the D5 value proposition is over Blender Cycle and/or Unreal. I’m guessing that D5 comes with its own, significant learning curve. What benefit does D5 provide over other engines? Can I render video faster than in Cycles? This may not be the right forum for such a question, but since we’re here…

Hi Jeff, D5 is easier for learning, it is user friendly and highly efficient, but it needs a ray tracing supported GPU to show its performance.
Besides, it has real-time preview, and its rendering speed should be faster than Cycles.
But since Cycles is a good offline renderer, it may have more settings for customization so it can focus on details.
