To be clear about RTX fonctions PLZ

I’m running D5 with a 3070 8Go.
D5 Is crashing sometimes due to number of objects.

So I will change the GC for a 16 Go but the price difference betwin 4060/4070/4080 is height.

The question: does the serie 4060 or 4070 or 4080 has an effect the quality of the picture ? ( ray tracing).

It’s clear that the more that 80’s is QUiCKER than a 70’ and more speed than a 60’s.
But does it affect other parameters ?

So, may you confirme me this the différence betwin 60’s 70’s and 80’s only affect the redering time.

No, there’s no difference in quality, just speed, the number of FPS of the real-time display in the viewport and calculation time.

Hello, @pilou5001

D5 Render is a GPU-based renderer that uses DXR and ray-tracing technology. Choosing a higher GPU specification will result in faster rendering and better handling of large projects. A higher GPU capability allows for easier management of larger files, improving overall statistics.

Regardless of your GPU specs, D5 Render provides default rendering quality, with differences only in rendering time rather than quality.

Thank you. I hope I was able to provide good input regarding your inquiry.

Hi all,
Thx for your aswers.

I Finaly took a RTX 4070 Ti Super 16 GO.

As maslu said, BUS of Gpu is important for handeling the work and making the work fluide.
I closly look at the difference between 4060 ti 16 Go and my old 3070 8 Go.
Nothing realy change in thermes of Gpu bus except the volume of memory.

But when you compare 4060 ti 16 Go ad 4070 Ti Super 16 Go, the amount of capacity of treatment of the bus is much more important.
