The model disappears

When I reload the model it disappears, even though the project name and File location are the same.

Hi @raalkobisy

I apologize for the inconvenience. Are you perhaps using a cloud storage to store these files? If so, I suggest downloading it locally first before working on it. Let me know, thank you.

Additionally:

  • Does this issue occur in other files as well?

No, I saved my file on D drive.

Also, unfortunately, I don’t have any previous files on my current device to check.

Hi @raalkobisy

Have you tried resyncing? Does your 3d Model still not show?

Yes I tried, still the same.

Hi @raalkobisy

I assume this model was directly imported, right? Does Live-sync work normally? How about re-importing the model completely?

If it doesn’t work, let me know. Thanks

I was working on Live-sync before but there was a problem where 3ds Max and D5 render don’t work together and they close immediately, I suppose the problem related to RAM, now I doubled the RAM but the problem still exists, so I decided to close 3ds Max and keep D5 render only and reload the file, but the file disappears when I reload it, and I can’t start new project because I don’t have much time left to submit my thesis.

So What could the problem be?
Thanks for responding.

Hi @raalkobisy

  • Did you perhaps download D5 Sync instead of D5 Livesync?
  • Which version of the plug-in are you using?

I think this problem stems from either the:

  • live-sync version (maybe outdated)
  • or the 3d model itself, since there is a crashing that occurred. If the crashing occurs also on another device, then it is most likely the problem otherwise, it’s the plug-in version.

It would be best for you to check whether you’ve downloaded the Live-sync version since this plug-in has also integrated a “sync only” only feature which is similar to D5 Sync.

i am having the same issue , every time i use a new project my file wont sync

Hi @shereenastoby

I’ll be asking you the same troubleshooting questions and suggestions.

  • Are you perhaps using a cloud storage to store these files? If so, I suggest downloading it locally first before working on it.

  • Did you perhaps download D5 Sync instead of D5 Livesync? If you’re using the D5 Sync version, it would be best for you to check whether you’ve downloaded the Live-sync version since this plug-in has also integrated a “sync only” only feature which is similar to D5 Sync.

  • Which version of the plug-in are you using? Please use the latest version which can be found on our official website.

No cloud storage just saved on desktop , i have the revit sync , i am not finding the live sync

Hi @shereenastoby

Alright, Revit only has D5 Sync for now. Can you give us more information regarding this issue? Perhaps recording a screen video on your end would provide us with more information.

  • Also, just to be sure, are you perhaps using section boxes? Switching between section boxes will have the materials placed in D5 Render revert back to its default revit material.

so the issue i m having is when i sync the file it wont show up it disappears in d5

Hi @shereenastoby

So, does this issue persist upon activating the plug-in version? Are you using any cloud storage to store these files? If so, please download it locally first. As requested, it would be best to record a video of the workflow process on your end so we can check it and try to replicate on our end.

Additionally, please check the following and send us a screenshot:

its persistent everytime i load its stored to my desktop not the cloud

Hi @shereenastoby

Can you send us your Revit file? Please send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled ‘Clov-Forum The Model Disappears’

Ok i did that

Hi @shereenastoby

I just tested your file and activated the plug-in; it was successfully brought to D5 Render. Can you perhaps record your process on your end so I can check?
