Hi @gelawa3850

We don’t recommend putting the file in a portable hard drive while working on it, since it may cause some fluctuation or transmission errors. Please put them first in your local file path then continue working on them. If there are some linked models or imported models, it’s best to have them stored in the same folder.

If you wish to have these files archived or placed in a portable hard drive, I recommend zipping them together with the imported models and then reloading these models afterward.

  • For your situation, please try to check your file’s version history and see if you can access the previous version of the model.
    version history
  • I have try history version too but it have been grayed out so i can’t recover it.
  • I have try to open the 1.save file inside asset folder with notepad and i still be able to view the model that i have import/placed.
  • Since i think the problem are the disappearance of the default layer, i have try to use the merge project to merge it with a clean and new project but when opening the merged project, the problem still occur.
In case you have any other solution, please help me, thank you!

Hi @gelawa3850

I will try to recover your files. As mentioned, we don’t recommend putting your D5 files in an external portable hard drive while working on it, since there may be some connectivity issues or disruptions. It is still best to put them locally (not on cloud storage but local file path)
