Hi guys
This is a portion of an image from a 6k render.
The texture comes directly from the D5render library.
To make the issue better understood, I have marked in red the areas where the texture is much less defined.
While in the foreground the texture looks perfect, as you move away the texture loses definition, the joints become blurred.
I tried turning LOD off but it didn’t work.
How can I solve it?
Thank you very much in advance.
Lorenzo
Apologies for running into this issue. Is this happening to all of your files? Or to this specific file only? Have you tried rendering it without the Super Resolution feature mark checked? You can turn it off and render it again. This may take a while to render the details thoroughly.
Please let me know if this suggestion works for you
Thanks
This instead is a test by activating super resolution and deactivating LOD. Same result.
I wonder if it could be a problem with textures and displacement.
Currently the texture is applied as a custom material although it comes in displacement from the D5render library.
Apologies if my suggestion did not work for you. Another possible cause could be GPU driver compatibility. Although this isn’t a common issue, we have encountered it in the past. Please reinstall your driver by following the steps below and perform a “clean installation.” You can reinstall the same version or update to the latest one, but be sure to select the “clean installation” option.
Hi Maslu
Thank you for your suggestions but the problem is still here.
I did the graphics card driver update as you suggested but nothing changed. After the update I noticed a slight flickering of the video during previews ( but that’s not a problem)
This is the result after the driver update. Exactly the same as before.
Thinking that the problem was the texture I tried to replace it with a similar one with all the appropriate maps (diffuse, normal, roughness, AO) but as you can see there is still this blurry effect in the second floor (I highlighted with red marks) which does not give definition to the texture as it can be in the foreground.
At this point I think the problem stems from the D5 engine, however you will agree with me that such a result cannot be acceptable, as the definition and quality rendering of the textures is a crucial aspect in the creation of an image.
I tried reapplying the material (dark granite) from scratch, without rotating or scaling it (still in custom mode).
Apparently the problem seems to be partially solved, of course there is still a slight blurring but certainly much less pronounced than before.
I hope that for future updates the problem will be resolved so that other creators do not experience these problems of blurring of the library’s native textures.
I’m happy that you were able to reduce the issue. If you need further assistance, please email me your file at support@d5techs.com so that I can have a thorough checking on your project file. Alternatively, you can share the link to this case forum and tag me for easy tracking.
