Haven’t gotten around to the log files yet. All I know is that it’s doing strange things with Firefox and not allowing me to maximize Firefox during a session. I also noticed that D5 Launcher is taking up a lot of memory even when idle or “closed.” I set it to disabled on start up but once you start it it stays in memory even after it’s closed.
That’s certainly unusual. Can you provide us with the following to better troubleshoot this issue? (We’re currently closely monitoring issues involving D5 Launcher)
You may send these logs to support@d5techs.com and have it titled ‘2.11 Clov-Forum Scatter 2.11 and Misc’. Please let me know if you have already sent it so I can immediately pick it up. Thanks.
I noticed that 2.11 was also impacting Sketchup in both switching between D5 and SU. Including a weird bug that minimizes SU to a very small rectangle on the upper left of the desktop.
Thanks for sending the requested files. We would really appreciate it if you could include a video recording of this issue, considering that there was no issue replication on our end.
I don’t have the ability to do a video recording of that. It doesn’t happen all the time and is rather sporadic. Maybe someone else will experience the same thing.
Alright, I understand. We’ll try our best to inspect your logs.
Regarding the launcher, although closed, is still consuming memory. Can you please check if you have enabled ‘Minimize to Tray’? If this option is enabled, the launcher will just minimize in the Tray Icons and will consume memory but in small amounts.
Was actually doing it again. I have D5 Render and Launcher open. Launcher is minimized in tray. Firefox won’t maximize when I click the icon in my task bar. I have to open it by right clicking on an open tab to bring Firefox back up. After that it maximizes or opens again.
Yes, the instances from the launcher when minimized in the Tray Icon is normal.
As for the issue regarding firefox, I tried replicating it on my end with the same process but firefox is maximized. Were you able to explore some settings in Firefox or perhaps enabled D5’s adaptive scaling?
