SAVING SCATTER TO MYSPACE: Doesn't save itself the right way

D5 Render Version:

Just noticed,
I made a scatter preset from scratch to use at other areas. And saved it to my space to use again later.
It does not save the preset in myspace as per the original.

This image shows u the scatter is made with 2 sub-groups. With the 2 divide sub-group. Which you can see is selected as scatter 2.

In this image you can see

Upon saving it in myspace the scatter composition of the sub-groups changes and we have only 1-sub area0. Basically the subareas were edgeplanting and inner planting. It lost that data and information from the original scatter that was scatter 2.

And if i click scatter area and then divide. Then it makes it into the original like it was in scatter 2. Why do we have to add a step to the work. Maybe i might have missed to do that and the planting or the look i was looking for wont be achieved with regular scattered planting.
Could we get what we saved exactly how we saved it? If its divide then divided should be saved as is in my space.

Hi @genesisplanners

Im not sure if i understood your question or query. But I tested it on my end, and based on the image you have also sent. It’s basically a different format but you’re still able to retain the number of areas that you have assigned.

  • Divide editing is just used if you still wish to divide the surfaces with your saved preset.

Yes as per your visuals divide edit segregates it in a way outer layer and inner layer. So you can have 2 kinds of planting options. So divide helps out. But when i save it to myspace. It doesn’t save as divide at all. Its saves it as single entity unless i change it to divide while i apply the saved preset it doesnt function. Im trying to make you understand to save the preset in myspace as and how we have used it, no changes. It becomes redundant on large scale projects to keep adding clicks and each time changing the saved option. Yes granted if i can revert back from divide mode to regular mode thats a great option to have. Not the other way round. Eachtime saves in nondivide mode.
