Poor material rendering quality

Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a project in D5 Render, and I’m encountering an issue with applying a linen-type fabric texture. For some reason, when I apply the texture to a simple cube, it works perfectly and displays as expected. However, when I try to apply the same texture with identical settings to the shape I actually want (which is not a cube), the result is drastically different. The texture appears almost as a solid color, and the quality drops significantly, making it look quite poor.

I’m attaching two renders where the texture quality is terrible compared to a cube

despite using the same texture and settings.

I’ve tried tweaking various settings and even reapplying the material, but the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem before or have any suggestions on how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

btw, I have a RTX 4070

Hi there, sorry for the inconvenience. May I know the current 3d software you are currently using? Also, if you’re using a d5 live sync plugin, which version?

Have you tried turning on the “Triplanar Button”? or perhaps adjusting the UV category?
Please let me know if any of these helps. Thank you so much~
