No objects in reflection

**D5 Render Version:2.10.1.0579
**Graphics Card:NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB

**Issue Description:Objects from the built-in library are not displayed, specifically trees. The screenshot shows a reflection where trees from the built-in library added by the brush are not visible. Visible trees are from the local user library.

I tried replicating the issue that you have reported but it seems that the reflection of the trees (generated by brush or direct input) seems to be working normally on my end.

  • Can you please modify your cull distance?

  • If the issue persists even with the cull distance modified, please send us your D5 File. It would be best to zip the folder first, and you may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled ‘Clov-Forum No Objects in Reflection’

There is a limitation in D5 on the range of plants displayed in the glass reflection:

  • Models in front of the camera and not in the camera’s viewport are 150m in real time and 900m in output.
  • Preview/output behind the camera is both at 150m.

Solution:

Reflections are fixed. Note that sometimes the render breaks, but now everything is fine. Apparently I don’t have enough video memory.

@clovisbolasco14 Please tell me the parameter that increases the number of reflections for path tracing

As mentioned in the link and image that I have provided, this method will increase your VRAM or GPU Consumption since the default settings were kept that way inorder to prioritize performance.

You can modify the custom GI parameters and currently these are the available settings involving path tracing.

@clovisbolasco14 Can I write a parameter in the engine file to unlock more bounces, for example not 3-3-1024, but 12-64-2048?

I don’t think you can do that currently since the custom GI was just launched recently, and the limit for it right now is 3-3-1024. The solution that I presented to you was also recently introduced in version 2.8.
