Most of the interior parallax have too bright soffit and curtains
Hi @Smolak
The overly bright soffits and curtains you’re seeing in interior parallax renders are usually caused by lighting and exposure settings.
To help us investigate further, could you please attach a screenshot of your environment settings?
Additionally, could you let us know if your Auto Exposure is enabled? Are you using HDRI or Geo Sky for your environment lighting?
This information will help us pinpoint the cause and suggest the best solution. Thank you
Hi @ela ,
Curtains are too bright even at 0.05 Sun intensity.
Ceilings and especially Curtains brightness are not consistent to overall Interior brightness.
It would be great to have additional brightness slider for curtains.
Generally interiors looks good only when their Light is turned on.
Curtains ruins usage of parallax interiors
Lighting = 1. Of course as always there is no way to set it to 0.1 but we have value like 100 ![]()
Hi @Smolak
Please send us the specific file as soon as possible. Our team needs to test these files to accurately identify the issue since we’re encountering the same feedback. Thank you.
Ok I will prepare example.
But generally you can do that by self. Every house which use Interior Parallax object with white curtain will be overexposed on shadows area of the building using standard full transparent glass material on windows. There is need to increase glass opacity to high value to compensate this overexposed interior. Some of them have very bright floor and soffit too. No way to lower their brightness under 1.
Hi @Smolak
We understand the behavior you’re describing.
That said, our team would like to test the exact file on our end to properly verify and isolate the issue. Scene-specific factors (lighting setup, exposure, material stacking, interior parallax settings, etc.) can significantly affect the result, so having your file will help us determine whether this is a limitation, a setup issue, or something we can improve.
While it’s possible to reproduce similar scenarios internally, testing your actual project file ensures we’re looking at the same conditions you’re experiencing.
Thank you.
