Hi. Does anyone know why when I open a file in d5 the models are on different xyz than model. When I save everything is fine, when I open the saved file there is already a problem.
hi,It is possible to “synchronize the coordinate system” of a model as soon as it is imported, and then update the model later.
In this way, the model will remain in place even if the overall boundingbox of the model has changed.
If the D5 converter is used in the synchronization workflow, the misalignment problem does not occur.
Possible cause: The coordinate system of the model imported directly into D5 is defaulted to point A at the bottom center of the model. If the overall boundingbox of the model is changed before and after the replacement, the position of the coordinate axes will be changed after recalculation (point B), and the misalignment will occur.
After selecting the model and “synchronizing the coordinate system”, the model will be directly restored to the absolute modeling coordinates.
What is your workflow?
If you are importing a file in direct reading, remember to synchronise the coordinate system at once. In this way, when you update the model afterwards, you won’t find any misalignment.
Hi,
thank you for all your replies. Our workflow is to sync ArchiCAD 26 directly to D5, but the problem was not changing the coordinates of the imported model, but D5 when opening the file shows the model far away from the rest of the imported stuff and camera points. It has been moved.
What helped - go back to the old version of the ArchiCAD and D5 file, open it and click sync. Then write down D5. Open a newer ArchiCAD file - re-sync and replace the model in D5 and save. Since then, it has been operating approximately
