Model rotates between Revit to D5

D5 Version: v2.3
Graphics Card: RTX 3080
Driver 516.94:

I have an issue with the way models are orientated when D5 is started from from Revit.

After the model has been brought into D5, it seems the model have been rotated -90 degrees. This is evident when selecting Camera>View>Top. The two images attached show the behaviour.

The first image shows the model set at True North in revit and in ‘Top’ view. The second image shows the camera set to ‘Top’ view in D5. It has rotated.

Image 1 from Revit 2020 - Model set to true north in revit and view set to ‘Top’

Image 2 from D5 - Model set to ‘Top’

Is this expected beaviour or am I missing something? If I want a shadow study, I then have to set up the ‘North Offset’ …not ideal.

Jo

Hi! This is due to the preset coordinate settings in Revit and D5. The coordinates in Revit and D5 are opposite, namely one is left-hand coordinates while the other is right-hand. So for now, you need to adjust the angle manually and we will optimize it in the future.
