No .hdr are available in the GUI, just one. I tried to reinstall but to no avail. I run windows with Nvidia 1080 GPU. I do not have also any materials in the assets dropdown.

It sound like a network problem, or it may be you are using the wrong version.
Please make sure your network is connected properly.
You can download the latest version from www.d5techs.com and reinstall
I did and it is still the same.
When you say network problem could you be more specific. What I should be looking at?
