Material problem while replacing model

D5 Render Version: D5_Render_2.6.0.0379
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 3070
Issue Description: Material set problem while replacing sketchup model

Hi. I prepared a model with sketchup and finished it with D5. i applied all the materials, i used assets, prepared scenes and i got renders without a problem. After some time, i had to work on the model again and i did some changes. Then i imported the model to D5 and replaced the old model. But i can not see any of the materials i applied earlier.

I worked on this file many times with sketchup sync, and it worked always. This time i can not use the materials that i’ve used before and whatever i tried, i couldnt get the materials. That means i have to apply all the materials again one by one and it will take a lot of time. I had the same problem with some other projects too. Thats why i am usually worried about having this problem again when i start a new work with D5.

Is there a way to save material set, and import those material set again when i replace the model? or do you have an idea why this happens, and how to fix it.

Thank you in advance

Hello! Did you try to reload or did you just replace another model? If you directly replaced another model or if the model you replaced is a copy of the original file, then indeed the original material will not be recorded. Also, even if it is the same model, in case you change the name of the material in the modeling software, this will cause it to be recognized as a new material.

Hello. I am using sketchup sync and when i want import the revised model, i replace it. Because “reload” button doesn’t seem active and i can not use anything except “replace”.

It is the same file with little changes, but with different name. I changed the name of the file with the old one and replace again, but it didnt work also.

Would it be convenient for you to send me both your pre- and post-modified su models as well as your D5 scene files? I will check your problem for you. (support@d5techs.com, and please describe the problem)
