I have trouble in downloading assets, the download of each asset is way too long.
My internet connection is quite good, almost 20mbps. Yet, downloading like wall materials, each need around almost 1 minute, whereas I think it shouldn’t be that long. This has been going on for at least 2 weeks and keep getting worse. Just yesterday, it wasn’t this slow. Today is the worst…
Does it have to do with Low OSS Speed & CDN Speed?
I forgot to mention. When downloading assets, example 3 assets are downloading, D5 become irresponsive. I have to wait until those 3 assets are downloaded, then I can start working again.
Even though 3 assets are downloading, D5 should still be able to move the preview screen. May I know if this occurs in all your other files? Including small sized files? Thank you.
No, I haven’t try to connect to other network / using VPN. But, I’ll try disabling proxy first. I’ll also try reinstalling it as well. I will inform again after this.
As for my email address is 21a10004@student.unika.ac.id, from Indonesia
Thanks for this information. After the reinstallation, do you mind updating to the newest 2.10 Version? After updating, try to check the CDN Speed. Let me know, thank you.
Hi, I tried to reinstall. This is the CDN Speed…
Is it good? Also, would you mind to explain what is Proxy, Origin Speed, and CDN Speed? What does it do?
Did your download speed improve? Otherwise, in your Windows Network Settings, please check if you have encryption or any software that may be limiting the download speed of the assets (There’s a possibility since Proxy was enabled by default on your end according to what you have said)
But, may I know what is the usual bandwidth needed for smooth download?
Also how long does it usually take to download 1 asset? To see, if the problem is my internet / because the asset size itself is big.
(I understand that some asset are more complicated, but maybe may I know how long is the approximate time for the most complicated asset? Is it 2 minutes? Etc?)
