Logs files take up a lot of SSD space

Hi, I am a D5 pro user, after updating version 2.6, I experienced 2 problems:

  1. D5 creates a very large logs file like the screenshot I attached (500Gb++), so my SSD is full
  2. After closing the d5 software, D5 is still running in the background, so the CPU works continuously (high CPU temp, noisy fan) until I need to do an “end task” in the task manager manually

What is the solution to these 2 things? Do I need to just delete the log files?

Thank You,
Erik

Hi, The unzipped save is checked in the preferences

But know that if you have problems, I read that you can’t use the previous version, i.e. from D5 2.6 to 2.5. This is when compressed saving is checked in the preferences

Hello! Sorry for your problem. Is it convenient for you that we mentioned remote support to you? If it is possible you can make an appointment at a suitable time and we can try to fix the issue for you remotely.

BTW, you can also provide your log to us (support@d5techs.com, and please describe the problem), you can compress your log file before sending it to us, it should be much smaller afterwards.

Hi mate, how are you? Is the problem resolved now? Those log files are txt files, therefore, if you compress it into 7z or zip, they will be much smaller, can you send us one sample file of the large log, for analysis? Or we can provide remote tech support if you want, thanks~
