Good morning everyone, I need to create some images where I have to use IES files of some of our products. They are Linear fixtures and not surface projectors, so the light is distributed along the entire length of the projector. I could use the rect light, but it doesn’t allow me to upload IES files. What can I do? If I could add IES files also in rect light, that would be the best. Thanks.

We have yet to support importing IES to rectangular files, perhaps ina subsequent release. Thank you.

Thank you for the fix of ies lights.
Any news about the support of ies lights on linear lighting distribution?
I often use iGuzzini “Linealuce” products. They are bars with multiple leds.

I was wondering about linear and rectangular lights this week! I was loading in ies files for linear lights and it didn’t look correct. Suprised D5 isn’t supporting that right now ! They need to add that immediately for people trying to get accurate lighting .

Hi @aaime

For now, the workaround for this is to use a point light with an IES for striplight.
