Hello. I have been offered the following Laptop specification by my IT support company of an HP Zbook Firefly for my entire design team, so that we can run D5 Render. Please can you validate the following specification? My main query is with the ‘4 GB GDDR6 dedicated’. Many thanks.
Hello Philip, sorry to tell you that, the GPU Nvidia T500 is not compatible with D5 Render, because it does not support raytracing and DXR12 we use. You can suggest your IT purchase Nvidia RTX series.
Hello, we do not set a limitation on the VRAM, so 4GB GPU like RTX 3050, can pass the hardware detection. We recommend GPU with over 6gb v-ram because we want to make sure the use experience is good.
But Nvidia T500 cannot pass the hardware detection because it is not supported.
The specification you have been offered for the HP Zbook Firefly laptop seems to be adequate for running D5 Render. The laptop features an Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 processor, which has a base clock speed of 2.8 GHz and can boost up to 4.7 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology. This processor should be able to handle the demands of D5 Render.
The laptop also has 32 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz RAM, which should provide enough memory for running D5 Render smoothly. Additionally, the 1 TB PCIe® NVMe™ TLC M.2 SSD will provide fast storage access times, allowing for faster load times and rendering times.
The NVIDIA® T500 GPU with 4 GB of GDDR6 dedicated memory should also be sufficient for running D5 Render. This GPU is a mobile workstation graphics card designed for professional use, and it is capable of running demanding applications such as D5 Render.
Overall, the specification you have been offered for the HP Zbook Firefly laptop should be suitable for running D5 Render. However, keep in mind that the performance of D5 Render can also depend on the complexity and size of the 3D models you are working with.
