İt worked brother thank you
Hi @abet.ceniza
May I know the exact version number of your D5 Render? Also, have you tried these suggestions mentioned? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Hello @ela yes I tried the troubleshooting mentioned below and it still crashes, and I dont have any cloud storage running. For my D5 Render Version here it is:
Hi @abet.ceniza
Please back up files first and try the following:
- Rename the local files in the D5 \framework\ folder (MSVCP140.dll & _1.dll) to .old
- Copy healthy versions from C:\Windows\System32.
- Paste them into the D5 \framework\ folder.
The crash should be resolved immediately on all machines.
Please note this is a temporary workaround, and the issue will be fixed in a subsequent update. Thank you for your patience. ![]()
This Solution helps!
Hi @ela , it still crashes on my end after doing the msvcp140.dll paste. Is there any other way to troubleshoot?
Hi @abet.ceniza
Sorry for the inconvenience. Did you rename the original files to .old first before copying and pasting the stable version from System32? If so, please collect and share your log files with me, and we’ll take a look. How to use Support Tool? | User Manual
You may send it to support@d5techs.com, tag me in your email, and include the link to this forum post for better tracking. Thank you
No worries @ela thank you for your assistance as well, very much appreciated. Yes I did as instructed but still no fix. I tried using D5 in another PC and it works perfectly fine. I hope the log files could help figure out my problem.
Already sent them via email. Thank you!
Hi @abet.ceniza
Email received. We’ll look into it and keep you posted on any updates. Thank you
Also, you mentioned that even when rendering an image or importing a PBR material, D5 Render crashes. Could you please share a screenshot of your D5 system info?
I cant delete the file
Hi @a19792
Is your D5 crashing when opening the windows folder upon saving? Please try out this method. It should resolve the issue.
Hi @ela , already fixed my issue. Thank you so much for your assistance!
For all who still has this occurring problem, mine had to do with the latest windows update. Try going back to the previous version and then doing the suggested troubleshoot and you should be good to go.
Hi @abet.ceniza
Thank you so much for the update and for sharing the solution with the community — that’s really helpful.
If you don’t mind, could you please let us know which specific Windows 11 version was causing the issue? This would be very useful for reference and for helping other users who may encounter the same problem.
Hi @ela
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a record of the version but the version after this one especially the windows security update:

This is the current windows version I am using right now and it fixed it.
guys!! forget everything above!
easy fix, stop the sync between d5 and your modeling software! problem solved
I am using Windows 11 version 26200.7705, which is the latest version, but this issue still hasn’t gone away for me.
Whenever D5 tries to open Windows File Explorer for any reason, it crashes and closes itself.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused. Have you tried the suggestions in this thread? Please try this out and see if it works for you.
