Help, I lose all texture settings when reopening the file.

I use the latest version of D5 and SketchUp 2024, always with D5 Live Sync. I save both the D5 and SketchUp files every time I finish working, and my texture folder is on the desktop. However, when I reopen the file the next day, the model, lights, furniture, etc., load correctly, but the texture settings do not. I have to reconfigure everything from scratch.

Similarly, I’m finding that I’m losing texture maps, not the texture image, just the bump maps etc

Hi there,

Could you please confirm if there were any changes to the model file name or storage path location, or if you saved the model file onto a cloud drive?

You can try relinking the SketchUp file with the D5 file by selecting the merge option, then replacing and linking the materials. Please let me know if this resolves your issue.

Thank you!

Yes, I have the files saved in a folder on my desktop synchronized with Google Drive (which is necessary because I work in a team). The first thing I do is open the SKP file and then start D5 Sync… it immediately asks me if I want to use an existing project or a new one. I choose “existing” and select the DRS file. When I enter, I see the same message you showed me, and I update the model.

Now, the model loads, but without the latest textures, and what seems even stranger to me is that some furniture from D5’s own library is missing (some do appear). I’m sending you a screenshot of the original render and how it looks now after reopening the file one day later.

Anyway, I’m going to try with another project to make sure it wasn’t an error on my part or that I forgot to save it.

Hi @gonzaloottati, Could you please confirm whether the D5 program and Workspace have been installed on your local system?

Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could provide a screenshot that displays your asset storage location from the menu.
