GPU utilization only 10-20% when rendering

noticed a 16k rendering taking a really long time
simple scene, synced from C4D - a simple poly ground object with some scatter tests - no more than 50 poly in imported scene.

16k render taking about 20 mins with this utilization. I turn on Chrome, and utilization goes to 100%

Hi, for me you have to upgrade the graphics card, and then you have to check the card settings, GPU scheduling WITH HARDWARE ACCELERATION

Hello, have you tried to open this scene with 2.6? Does the same scene have a lower vram occupancy in 2.6 than 2.7?

check card setting, where?

Click Start, then go to System Settings.

From the left menu, select View.

Under Multiple Displays, click Graphics Settings.

Turn on GPU scheduling for hardware costs.

Restart your computer.
