I have setup the system and the files, did eveything as shown on the d5 page, still setting up a shared folder over LAN is not working

You might want to take note of this error prompt:

Ensure that you have Full Control or administrator rights of the shared folder.

Please also send us a screenshot of how this portion looks on your end. The folder address format should be similar to the image below.
