D5 Start Error

**D5 Render Version: 2.10.1.0579
**Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX A1000 LAPTOP GPU
**Driver Version: 32.0.15.5612
**Issue Description: D5 will not open my file anymore. I can’t open it through D5 or ArchiCAD. When trying to open it through ArchiCAD it loads to 60% then I get a message saying “D5 start error. Unknown issue, contact developer”. I was working in this project just a few hours ago before I closed it without any issues. I’ve worked in much larger files on this laptop so I do not think it’s a file size issue. I copied my ArchiCAD file and started D5, it opened no problem, however if I choose to sync local project to my old D5 file, it auto crashes. I can’t even view the history version because that crashes at 60% as well. I do not want to start this project over. I can’t even try and open a back up file because you have to have the project open in D5. Any help is appreciated here. I should also add I can open all D5 projects I’ve worked on to date, except this one.

Can you send your ArchiCAD and D5 files to us so we can test it?

Hey I appreciate the reply. I have seemed to fixed the issue. I am working on a cloud and I decided to move the ArchiCAD file and D5 file to my desktop so I have it locally and it opened. Hard to say what the issue was when this is the only file that has had this issue.

All of your files are stored in a cloud storage, or this specific one only? We don’t recommend storing these files in cloud storage while you are working with them, as it may cause some instability. Putting it locally is the best option.
