Hi everyone,
I’m having a serious issue with D5 Render that makes it very difficult to work, and I’m hoping someone here can help.
The problem occurs when I start rendering. Sometimes the render completes successfully, but very often D5 Render freezes during the process. In some cases, the program doesn’t just hang — it completely freezes my entire computer, forcing a hard reboot.
I’ve tried many different approaches, but so far I haven’t found a solution. Initially, I was getting TDR-related crashes. I changed the TDR settings in the Windows registry, and since then the program no longer crashes immediately because of TDR (at least I think that part is resolved).
However, the current behavior is that I start a render, wait and wait, and:
sometimes it finishes,
sometimes it just freezes indefinitely,
sometimes it locks up the entire system.
There’s no clear pattern, which makes it very hard to diagnose.
I can send my system configuration and log files for reference.
At the moment, it’s basically impossible to work reliably like this, so I would really appreciate any help, suggestions, or ideas on what could be causing this and how to fix it.
