Gerassi House was designed by the Architect Palo Mendes da Rocha (1928–2021) in 1991.
Mendes da Rocha was awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize, architecture’s highest accolade, in 2006. He was awarded the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016.
He died in the middle of the quarantine period, at age 92.
The distance between me and him… is the distance between me and the Architect I dream to one day become.

The exterior aspect of your rendering gives me a good idea of Mendes da Rocha’s design, but I wish your video showed more of what it is like to experience the interior spaces of the house. I don’t get a sense of how they relate to each other. Also, why do you focus upon a single chair? It gets a lot of screen time.

I agree with you, but I didn’t have much time to make videos of the interior… thanks for your feedback
