Hi all,
I updated D5 Render to version 2.10 yesterday, and since then, I’ve been having an issue with HDRI images. The software no longer recognizes the HDRI I had set for each scene. When I reload the same HDRI manually, the sunlight doesn’t match what I had before—the entire scene becomes much darker, and I can’t seem to adjust it back to the original look. I’ve experimented with various settings (exposure, lighting, etc.), but nothing’s working.
For reference, I’ve attached “before” and “after” screenshots below. Has anyone else experienced this after the 2.10 update? Any ideas on how to fix it or restore the previous lighting?
Thanks for any help!
Hi @delphine.ab, Kindly toggle the auto exposure on and off in version 2.10. This should resolve the lighting issue and restore the lighting settings to the previous stat. Apologies for the inconvenience.
If the issue persists, kindly collect your logs and share with us at support@d5techs.com. Be sure to include Anthony_Forum in your email.

Thank you.
Thank you dear Anthony, it works!
Hi Anthony; What I am sensing again is that it is only Hdri that is not working from the attachment, both Geo and Custom are working perfectly. Any urgent resolution please.
Many thanks.
Hello Anthony;
I opened an old project, made some updates, and boom—the same problem occurred. Now, I believe the issue is related to the recent update. Missing HDRI SKIES!
Many thanks.
Hi Delphine,
Could you please share how you resolved the issue? I’m still experiencing the same problem despite trying everything. The HDRI is still not appearing, and the entire scene remains dark, as shown in the attached file.
Would appreciate any guidance. Thanks!
Hi @akeemibadehin
I apologize for the inconvenience. I think what the other user did was disabling Auto Exposure then enabling it again, but I’m not sure if this solved his issue regarding ‘HDRI Not Recognized’ you may try it and see if there are any differences.
Otherwise, we may need to get your D5 Render File for us to test it. You may either send it to support@d5techs.com, have it titled ‘Clov-Forum HDRI Not Recognized’ or send the link directly here in Forum or Direct Message.
Hi!
I actually have the same problem - after the last update D5 doesn’t recognize the HDRI set for each scene. Can you please help me?
Thanks in advance
Delphine
HI @delphine.ab
I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you perhaps provide us with a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing? Are you using a custom HDRI or the one from D5 Render? Thanks.
Thank you for the updated Dropbox link; we were able to access your file successfully. We encountered issues with the transfer link, but appreciate you resolving that.
Upon opening your file, we observed that while all your HDRI files are present in the asset folders, they are not displaying correctly. The primary cause appears to be an abnormal Z-value for the main model. Instead of a whole number, it displays as 1.423424e+26. This indicates a significant discrepancy in the model’s position.

Note: The image is a sample but that is the exact format of the Z Value that was set in your main model
To resolve this, please try the following:
-
Correct the Z-value: In your 3D modelling software, adjust the Z-value of the main model to its correct, whole number size.
-
Resync or Re-import: Alternatively, you can delete the model from D5 Render and then resync it from your 3D software.
-
Save, Close, and Reopen: After making these changes, save the D5 Render file, close the application, and then reopen it.
We also conducted an additional test: by deleting the main model, saving the file, and relaunching D5 Render, all default and custom HDRIs functioned correctly. This further suggests that the abnormal Z-value of the main model is the source of the HDRI display issue. Additionally, this test was conducted in both 2.9.1 Version and 2.10 Version, both of these versions abnormally displayed the HDRI.
Hi @clovisbolasco14 !
I use one of the D5 Render HDRI. Please see a screenshot attached.
