Hi @mygtafive.22

I apologize for the inconvenience. May I know which specific Laptop Model you are using?

  • For optimal D5 Render performance on HP Omen/Victus laptops, ensure ‘Discrete’ GPU mode is selected in ‘OMEN Gaming Hub-Graphics Switcher’. This prevents D5 from using the integrated graphics, which it doesn’t support, and avoids abnormal usage.

  • If you’re not an HP Omen or HP Victus user, then you can try to select 'NVIDIA GPU only ’ in NVIDIA Control Panel - 3D Settings - Manage Display Mode. If there is no such option, try disabling the integrated graphics card.

  • Another possible solution is to perform a clean reinstallation of your Graphics Card Driver

  • And lastly, if any of these solutions don’t work you can try to repair by using DXR Repairment Tool - DXR Repairment Tool

Steps:

  • Type “cmd” in the Windows search bar, right-click, and select “Run as administrator” to open the Command Prompt window.
  • Type the following command and press Enter (this operation may take a few minutes to complete): DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  • Type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow
Note: Do not close this Command Prompt window until the verification is 100% complete.
  • Once the sfc /scannow process is complete, the scan results will be displayed.

Im using Acer Predator PH16-71, I have tried all the steps mentioned above but had no success

Hi @mygtafive.22

That’s unfortunate.,

  • If you have enabled CPU Overclocking, please disable it and restore to BIOS Default
  • Try reinstalling D5 Render in a different file path (If it was located it C Drive try it in D Drive)
  • I want you to try to update your BIOS - Several users have reported to have fixed this issue after BIOS update or Clean Reinstallation of Graphics Card Driver.
    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/gaming/resources/how-to-update-bios.html
  • Which Windows System Version are you using? If you’re using 24H2 you can try to revert back to its previous version and see if there are any differences.

Hi @mygtafive.22

  • Have you tried reinstalling it in another file path?
  • How about a BIOS Update? Were you able to try updating it?

Please let me know.
