**Issue Description: My local disc had run out of storage space, so I needed to move the local asset library save location to my archive server harddrive. Once the merge was completed and cache cleared, the local library has not loaded as it was when it was still on my local disk. There are only cache files, txt files, and icon thumbnails. I cannot gain access to these locally saved assets anymore. No “categories” made it through the merge either. How do I restore my local asset library?
**Screenshots/Videos Description:
I have some tips on uploading local material libraries to server storage devices. I hope they can be helpful to you!
The material storage location supports network paths, and the specific usage method is:
Map the LAN server to a network drive (e.g. shared location\ … \Promotion\ D5 test);
Migrate the local library location in the “Preferences” menu bar in the upper left corner of the D5 renderer, and select it through the mapped computer drive letter (for example, select X:);
After migration, check the local library list and the list will be reloaded.
Note: If there are files with the same name for custom ies, hdr, and lut, a prompt will be given that they cannot be migrated (deleting the files with the same name is sufficient)
Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.
I followed those exact steps. The server was mapped to a network drive and the location was changed via the Preferences menu.
Is there any way to “restore” the assets from the “.cache” folder where inside there are 3 files per object: “fileslist.txt”; “icon.png”; “summary.txt”.
