Hi @neil.lao

Thanks for the details, and I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Could you please confirm the following?

  • Does the crash occur with one specific project, or with all projects?
  • Are you using Rhino Sync, LiveSync, or another sync method?
  • Does the crash happen immediately on sync, or after some interaction?
  • Do you receive any error message before it returns to the project selection pop-up?
  • Are there any external assets or plugins used in the project?
  • Have you tested syncing with a simpler scene to isolate the issue?

Please also attach a screenshot of your D5 system info

And screenshots of your hardware usage from Task Manager

-crashes on this specific project, narrowed it down yesterday
-i am using revit sync.
-it happens after i sync this project. i can open and sync this project on my old laptop… just not the new one.
-no error message… just returns to sync or new project pop up
-no external assets or plugins. just a lot of revit links from mechanical to fire.

also realized it this morning, the dock is limiting the power supply and making D5 slower.

Hi @neil.lao

Thank you for the detailed breakdown and for attaching the screenshots—they’re very helpful.

Just to clarify a few things so we can investigate this properly:

  • What exact version of D5 Render are you currently using?
  • Did the crash only start happening after updating to this version?
  • Has this specific project ever synced successfully on your new laptop, or has it always crashed there?

Since you mentioned the issue only occurs with this specific project (and it works on your old laptop), I’d like to test the file on my end. Would you mind sharing the project with me?

Please upload it via WeTransfer and send the download link to support@d5techs.com. Kindly tag me in the email. Include the link to this forum post for reference. Thank you again for your cooperation, and sorry for the inconvenience.
