**D5 Render Version:**2.10.2.0589 Graphics Card: RTX 4070Ti
**Driver Version:**32.0.15.7680
**Issue Description:**D5 is frozen when rendering videos and crashes mid way, when it comes to image rendering its lakes about 15 mins to render in 2k , earlier it would just take 2 mins. However with SR turned on its fast but a lot of details are lost. Also the graphics card turns of mid renders
Screenshots/Videos Description: Steps to Reproduce (optional):
Thank you for providing the complete information. Rendering Time increases as the quality also increases, did you also enabled Path Tracing with customized values? It also depends on how complex these scenes are.
This crashing is only evident in this specific file, right?
Anyway, based on the images you have sent:
Lagging and crashing is susceptible to heavy files, most especially when VRAM is nearing it’s maximum capacity, it is already using 11.6 GB/12GB of your device.
You have mentioned that “GPU turns off mid render”, can you check the capacity of your PSU? It should be above 750 otherwise, it may cause power delivery issues.
D5 SR Widget, significantly improves the rendering time at the cost of losing some details. If you wish to prioritize render time, then it is best to enable this feature.
Suggestion:
We highly recommend optimizing your D5 file.
We can also collect your D5 file to check whether this particular issue is also experienced on our end. You may send your Log and D5 File to support@d5techs.com and have it titled ‘Clov-Forum D5 is frozen when rendering videos and crashes’
Its not a file specific issue, I’m having difficulties in navigating through the old projects too. I opened an old file and still the VRAM is showing the same value of 11.6/12 GB.
The power source seems to be fine . My UPS is a 1000 VA/ 600 W.
The screen has started to stutter during navigation.
Also I just have Super Resolution-DLSS is not available. Navigating through the files have also slowed down and started to stutter.
If these old projects are as heavy as this file then it will surely consume or utilize your VRAM. Opening an empty scene file should confirm whether this issue only persists in files that are heavy.
Additionally, please grant us access to the file. It seems to have some permission restriction from the Google Drive Link you have provided.
