"I have this problem: When I try to open a project, it crashes/closes before loading 20%. Then, when I open it and try to import a model, the program automatically closes before I can place it.

For now, the most reliable workaround is to roll back your AMD driver to the previous stable version, as the newest driver is known to cause loading failures, crashes, and usability issues in D5 Render 2.11.
