I have two issues that I am trying to deal with and both proving very frustrating.
I have upgraded my card to a Titan X that I understand supports D5. However, when I start D5 in the top right of the screen to the left of render preview, there is a yellow exclamation mark. When I hover over it it says "Hardware or System Driver could not utilize ray tracing. Please find more details:’ When I click on the link it takes me to the Chinese home page of D5render which does not offer any explanation for the message. Why am I getting this message? I have downloaded the most current drivers for this card 457.30
Most annoying is when I try to export a photo, D5 crashes!!! This applies to any model. When it crashes, theD5_dump.exe process appears in Task Manager that I have to terminate manually. What is going on? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same result.
Not sure if they are related, but as noted, very frustrating.

NVidia Titan X - 12gb Vram

First of all, I feel very sorry about the inconvenience brought by the issue.
As for your issue, first I should say it’s very abnormal. We never get “!” such notification in the program. may I know what’s your graphics card and the version number of D5 Render you currently used?
Hi Jessie, thank you for the prompt response. My graphics card is an nVidiaTitan X with 12gb of vram using the current 457.30 drivers. I have downloaded the most current version of D5 but the issue persists.
Hope we can resolve this as i am eager to get some work done.
Thank you for the feedback. But I cannot see your attachment here, probably some errors. Could you please send me via email - minjia.huang@d5techs.com ?
I am using the latest nvidia driver 437.30 and Windows 10 v18363, which is later than the version you have noted. I will try to load u[p a more current windows version.
Tonight I have downloaded the most current version of Windows. So I am now running on Windows 10 Build 19042 and using the most current driver for my Geforce GTX Titan X card, V457.30… PROBLEM PERSISTS.
Still get the ray tracing (!) message and still can’t save any image!!!
Did you skip the Hardware Detection when the first time entering D5 Render?
If you didnt skip it and successfully passed the test, probably your Titan X graphics card is not being used to run D5 Render correctly, please make sure the graphics card is plugged in correctly and not on the motherboard.
I didn’t skip the hardware detection and D5 seemed to recognise the card without issue. There was a problem with missing UE4 prerequisites but I downloaded and installed them as required.
I do not understand what you mean when you sa "…and not on the motherboard."
The card is plugged in just fine into one of the pci slots of the motherboard. My other programs including Windows seems to recognise the card just fine.
It’s very weird.
Did you try reinstalling D5?
If the issue still exists, I believe we should check for you by remote control. Let me know if it’s ok for you and your time available for us to do so.
I gave up in the end. Installed the Titan X into my other machine and I had the exact same behaviour… couldn’t save any image and I was still getting the exclamation mark.
So I have decided to purchase a 1060 6GB card until I upgrade in the new year. Everything seems to be working fine now.
