Hello, have you once launched D5 Render with no problem before? Besides, we cannot access the logs you uploaded, since google drive does not allow us to view the file.
Could you please show me a screenshot of how it freezes?

Try to view it again, I’ve set the share permissions to everyone. The first time I used it, it wouldn’t freeze. I’ve since reinstalled it several times but each time now it just freezes when trying to start a new project. There isn’t an error message, the process wheel replaces the mouse curser and the program hangs indefinitely, even if you wait an hour. I need to force close the program to get it to shut off.

Hello, did you run CPU/GPU overclock settings, or add monitors recently? Also, please make sure in Nvidia Control panel, D5 Render uses RTX 3090, not other graphic cards, and if you have more than one graphic card, please turn off SLI for D5 Render.
If the problem remains, please try a complete reinstall:

  1. uninstall D5 Render.
  2. delete the remaining files in the installation folder(also you could move those custom files to other places for backups.
  3. Go to the following path and delete 3 folders that start with “d5_”
    C:/Users/your account/AppData/local
    K2T78DMIR9BLG081BL$JH96

If it still cannot work, could you let our tech support do remote access, or send us logs files?

The CPU has always been overclocked, there have been no recent changes. I have multiple monitors, occasionally I shut one off for use on my second PC. I don’t have multiple GPUs, nor is there an iGPU on my system. I’ll give the reinstall instructions a try and let you know.

This seems to have resolved the problem for now, thank you for helping me!

No problem, glad to hear that the problem is resolved!
