Camera animation issues

  1. Using preview camera path mode, camera view is very laggy - like 15fps. It is not suitable to preview camera path bezier smoothly.

path_lag.zip (2.6 MB)

  1. Undo for camera ( back to previous view ) doesn’t work correctly - wrong FOV.

cam_anim_undo (2).zip (2.4 MB)

  1. I’m sure that these values are inverted here :

Right ( blue ) should be start, Left ( purple ) should be end. At the moment this curve representation is misleading. This is how it works :

Send me this file, please send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled Clov Forum-Camera Animation Issues

Simple scene, one object - preview is laggy using path edit mode :

path_lag2.zip (2.8 MB)

As for point 3 - please test it because you have inverted spline. Blue one is first camera spline tangent, purple is the end. I’m 100% sure.

OK please ignore this. I understand how it works now. It is little misleading, it works different than in other software.

In D5 first spline point affect OUTput of previous video view and last spline point affect INput of current video view. This is why I thought that spline is inverted. Little headache here

But this box animation representation is inverted :

  1. Next issue. Every time camera is moved it tangents are changes too to default one

Hi @Smolak

The preview screen for camera path movement is not as smooth as the main preview since it’s just for checking the movement of the camera, but yes, I get your point, hence, I’ve shared it further as an Idea/Request.

Hi @Clov

Problem is that for accurate camera movement timing current camera FPS preview is too low. I think that camera preview outside of video mode has way better fps.
