Hi D5 Team,
I’ve been experiencing an issue with batch-rendered animations where textures appear very low-resolution or blurry in the final output.
I’m fairly confident it relates to textures not having finished loading at full resolution before rendering begins.
When I select a camera view in D5, some textures initially appear blurry in the viewport, but after waiting several seconds they load and become sharp. If I start rendering before they are fully loaded, the resulting frames can retain the low-resolution appearance.
This is particularly problematic when rendering multiple animations overnight, as each animation can take 1–2 hours to render. Having to manually open each camera path and wait for all textures to load before starting each render is not ideal for workflow.
Would it be possible to introduce a “wait time before starting render” setting for batch renders? I appreciate that a fixed delay may not be sufficient for every project, as loading times can vary depending on scene complexity and texture sizes. Perhaps a user-defined delay of X seconds before each queued animation begins rendering? Ideally, D5 could also detect when textures have finished loading and only begin rendering once the scene is ready.
Could you please let me know if there is an existing setting or workaround for this issue, or whether this is something that could be considered for a future update?
Thanks for your help.
Geoff
