I have a problem, and I think it’s with the current version of D5. I didn’t have this problem before, but now when I set the camera path and then animate the character’s path on the clip using keyframes, it keeps resetting automatically despite the set position. For example, I have the character set at the beginning of the clip in one place, and I want it to be a little further away at the end. So I set keyframes at these key points as usual. I set them. I check. It goes through, I go back to the beginning of the frame, and instead of being where I initially set it, the character is suddenly at the end of the clip as if I hadn’t animated it at all. It’s impossible to work like this… Every now and then, I do the same thing, hoping that this time it won’t move and I’ll be able to release the animations…
Sorry to hear about this. Sometimes D5 may not retain or display keyframe data correctly, and objects inside groups can also be affected depending on how the keyframes are applied.
To better understand what’s happening in your case, could you please send us a short screen recording showing your timeline and the moment when the character resets? If the video is too large to attach here, you can upload it to WeTransfer and share the link with us. This will help us confirm whether it’s the same bug other users have reported.
You also mentioned that you had no problems with this in the previous version — in the meantime, you may want to roll back to the earlier version so it doesn’t interrupt your workflow. Previous versions can be found here: Download Historical Versions of D5 Render
Looking forward to your response. Thank you
