Z-fighting / Decals from Sketchup

Dear D5 developers,

I’m now working with D5 for a several months now (Pro subscription) and I really like to work with it. Some things should have high priority in developing, such as: texture images in Sketchup which are flickering in D5 because of ‘z-fighting’. In Lumion you can control this and it should be in D5 as well. As a brand designer I constant have to place textures/ decals in Sketchup and dimension them for press. It would be an ENOURMOUS time saver as I won’t have to move them 1,6mm in front of any surfaces any more. Please, please, please fix this! Thanks and keep up the good work!!!

Hi mate, thanks for reaching out. To confirm, the problem happens when you put a decal or image directly onto a surface in SketchUp and sync it to D5, right? Can you send us a sample file for testing?

I would really like to have this option implemented…This occurs so often!!! I would like to see this solved (Instead of transparant video displays).

Did you ever find a solution to this?

Hi there,

We have yet to incorporate such feature and we are greatly considering it in subsequent releases. For now, you may need to check the surface from your 3d Model if there are any surface clashes. Thank you for your understanding.
